Created and maintained layout models/drawings, installation/assembly and detail parts, and relational model for Boeing's 737 MAX Pylon Fire Seal Depressor. Assembled Powerpoint presentations outlining design changes, progress, and weight savings ideas of assigned work package. All milestones completed on time. Created systems brackets and maintained bracket/wiring interface model used between Spirit’s pylon systems group and an external wiring vendor for Boeing's 787-9 Pylon. Designed detail parts, assemblies, and lay-up tooling for composite structural parts with CATIA V5.20 for a variety of Triumph's customers including Boeing and Cessna. Catia's complex surfacing as well as it's 2D and 3D capabilities were all utilized.

Acted as D3’s Onsite Project Integrator on Bombardier Learjet’s L-85 program. Supported D3’s offsite design group by uploading D3’s Catia models into Enovia, correcting errors in D3’s drawings and 3D models, and acted as liaison between Bombardier and D3. Supported D3’s offsite Stress group by downloading 3D models from Enovia to a repository where they could be accessed and analyzed.

Spirit Aerosystems - Wichita, KS                                                                                                                                            2006-2010

-Created design layouts, and various Installation/Assembly models as well as their related sheet metal, machined, and extruded detail parts in Model Based Definition format for Sikorsky’s CH-53K. Supported the Cockpit Team’s efforts in achieving the 50% and 90% release milestones on time. Assisted the Cabin Team in their effort to achieve the 50% and 90% release milestones on time.

 

-Assigned to the Gulfstream G-650 group to assist them in their aggressive schedule. Checked wiring bracket part datasets and Enovia attributes against Gulfstream checklists and assisted in design of wiring bracket details/assemblies and wiring assemblies.

 

-Responsible for group checking, routing, and tracking hundreds of drawing packages from various outside vendors through Spirit’s Integrated Product Team for Boeing’s P-8A Section 46 Fuselage. Consolidated all comments from IPT in PowerPoint Presentations and electronically returned them to the vendors for correction.

-Boeing Integrated Defense Systems - Wichita, KS                                                                                                                 2002-2005

Created all Layouts, Installation, Assembly and Detail drawings associated with the 767 Tanker Hose and Drogue Unit (HDU) Guide Tube. Responsible for solid modeling and release of all Guide Tube drawings/geometry which were all delivered on time. Assisted the Fuel Systems group with the design and drafting of the fuel piping systems assemblies. Supported the Mechanical Systems group in their design of various mechanical systems including oxygen header bars and overhead control panels.

 

-Boeing Commercial Airplane Group - Wichita, KS                                                                                                                1996-2002

Worked on a variety of Boeing Aircraft including the 737 Next Gen, 747 Freighter, 757-300, and 767. Design tasks included creation of many part types including Frames, Stringers, Skins, and Floors. Other tasks on these programs included generating Knowledge Based Product Definition inputs for stringers, pre-conversion of part list data into a Define and Control Aircraft Configuration format, and sustaining.

 

Geographical Information Systems Technician

Jasper County Appraisal District – Jasper, TX                                                                                                                 1993-1996

Used Unix driven Arc/Info and Cogo to generate digital maps creating property ownership boundaries. Attached account information between the District’s mainframe and our GIS workstation which enabled us to perform logical and spatial queries for data reports and map generation. Assisted in customization of our workstation to simplify its use with Arc Macro Language and creating a custom user interface of menus, pull-downs, and buttons.
